The focal point, a striking snake head, features a substantial pink topaz, captivating garnet cabochon eyes, and delightful turquoise accents.  A repurposed Victorian turquoise charm, delicately dangling from the snake's mouth, creates wonderful movement when worn.  Encased in its original 18-carat gold Victorian setting, the turquoise charm is complemented by a newly crafted 18-carat gold bail.
 
Crafted in solid gold throughout, the necklace is a fabulous rich yellow-gold colour.  Professional laser testing indicates the chain and clasp are made of 15-carat gold, while the snake head registers at 9-carat. An acid test confirms the snake head's gold content as 15-carat, suggesting a high-carat guild beyond the 9-carat standard.
 
With a wearable length of 20.5 inches and a 5mm chain width, the hidden clasp is seamlessly integrated into the side of the snake head, allowing it to gracefully coil around your neck.
