Excellent antique condition

 

This gorgeous fella is in beautiful antique condition.  There is a minor repair section under his head where it has been soldered onto his body with lead solder which was often used for repairs in the Victorian era.  This may have been done to ensure his head did not get caught in clothing when he was worn as a stick pin in his original form.  The lead can only be seen when looking on his underside, so it does not detract from his beauty when worn as a pendant and instead only adds to his character as it was likely a job done by a Victorian jeweller.

 

There are no hallmarks but the piece has been tested as 15-carat gold using a professional laser gun.

 

The diamonds are in excellent condition; they are replacement diamonds set as part of the conversion project.

 

His pendant bail is handcrafted from 18-carat gold and the colour match is perfect.  The oval bail perfectly compliments his character and design.
