A beautiful antique turquoise crescent moon and star pendant, dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian era, c.1890–1910, and crafted in sterling silver.
This gorgeous little celestial treasure features a gracefully sweeping crescent moon, beautifully set with turquoise cabochons in the most wonderful assortment of colours, from vibrant sky blue and vivid turquoise to softer, greener tones. Nestled within the crescent is a charming five-pointed silver star, centred with a further turquoise cabochon.
The natural variation in the turquoise colouring gives this piece such lovely character, whilst the gently aged silver settings and beautiful antique patina provide the perfect contrast to the colourful stones.
Originally a Victorian brooch, this fabulous little piece has been thoughtfully converted into a pendant with the addition of sterling silver suspension rings, ready to be worn and enjoyed for another century!
Crescent moons and stars were particularly fashionable in Victorian jewellery, with celestial motifs often associated with hope, guidance and new beginnings.
A wonderfully wearable antique charm, perfect for adding a little colour and celestial magic to your favourite chain layers!
