Crafted in 15ct gold, this Victorian collar necklace showcases intricate craftsmanship and versatile functionality, with rare flower accents on alternating links.
The chain features die-stamped links with subtle hand-finishing, enriched by high-carat gilding that gives the links a luminous yellow hue, testing as approximately 17ct gold. The floral accents retain a warmer, peach-toned 15ct gold colour, creating a delicate contrast that enhances the necklace’s antique character.
Measuring 21 inches long and 8.5mm wide, the piece transforms effortlessly into a refined lariat at 19.25 inches. It features two charm holders, a 14.5mm large clasp and an 8mm bolt ring stamped "15", both with a soft, warm gold tone that complements the floral motifs.
In very good antique condition, with minor signs of age including natural patination behind some of the flowers and between a few links. One floral link has been re-made in solid 18ct gold with a smooth finish, lacking the subtle die-stamped detail, though this is only visible upon close inspection.
Wear it long, style it as a lariat, layer your favourite pendants on the charm holders, or add an extender for extra length. This is a highly adaptable antique piece with endless styling potential.
